Welcome to my website! You can find some information about my interests and passions here. These are economy, science and research, but also travel and sailing as well as art and culture.

Sailing

I love the sun, the wind and the oceans. I love my sailboat and sailing. Here is a link to my sailing and travel page: SY Maya with my blog and some more information about sailing.

Profile

I’m focused on topics related to business, social behaviour and communication. I have completed a professional training for banking with Deutsche Bank AG, graduated in Computer Science and Business Administration at Hessische Verwaltungs- und Wirtschafts-Akademie and in Business Economics (BBA) at Avans+, Breda (NL).
I got a Master’s Degree in Leadership in Digital Communication at Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) in cooperation with the University of St. Gallen (HSG), as well as a Doctorate in Business Administration at the University of Gloucestershire in Cheltenham (UK). I’m a fellow of the EuroMed Academy of Business.

My research interests include eBusiness, Consumer Behaviour, Digital Economy, Decision-Making, Finance (including Behavioural Finance, International Stock Markets, Company Valuation), Forecasting, Marketing (e.g., Online Marketing, Product and Service Marketing), Social Media, Sustainability, and Teamwork.

Beyond that, I am interested in travelling and sailing. At the moment I am on a world trip with a Najad 34 sailing yacht and follow the “barefoot route”.
